Different drivers on a dual throat adapter?

Probably a dumb question, but as GPA morphs my 291-16B's into 288-16G's, I happened to run into a pair of 30170 adapters for my 1005B's. Would running a 288B and a 288-16G simultaneously on each of these be completely senseless or pointless? Or is there a better way to do this?

Since your 1005Bs with one 288 are already louder than your LF horns (with equal input), running two 288s per horn will just mean you'll need to attenuate the HF to compensate. Kinda pointless to beef it up only to turn it down.

Possible exceptions would be outdoor/distance apps (more than your driveway unless it's really windy), or if you implemented a passive EQ/shelving network.
